We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy distribution center in Dallas, Texas. This is a key role in our logistics operations, focused on accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse stock to fulfill customer orders. You will utilize picking equipment, such as scanners and carts, to locate and gather products according to order lists. Precision and speed are essential to meet our service level agreements. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires physical stamina, including regular lifting, standing for extended periods, and navigating the warehouse. Safety is paramount; you will be expected to adhere strictly to all safety regulations and consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE). Teamwork and a commitment to operational excellence are highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process pick lists for customer orders.
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, applying correct labels.
- Operate manual picking equipment and scanners efficiently.
- Maintain awareness of product locations and warehouse layout.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize appropriate PPE throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve picking targets and support overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse/logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and willingness to use PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
