Our busy logistics hub in San Francisco, California, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory. Your efficiency and safety are key to our operations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading delivery trucks, transporting materials to and from production and storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, and all operators must adhere to strict safety procedures and utilize the provided PPE. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a proven record of safe operation, and excellent attention to detail. This role involves physical tasks, including lifting and maneuvering goods, so familiarity with proper lifting techniques is important. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the facility.
- Assist with accurate inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and mandatory PPE usage.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a proven safe driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
