Become an essential part of our logistics operations as an Order Picker in the vibrant heart of New York City, New York. This role is critical for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for navigating our warehouse, locating specific items using order lists and scanning technology, and preparing them for the next stage of the shipping process. We are dedicated to providing a safe and efficient work environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the consistent use of provided PPE, is paramount. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position requires physical mobility, including extensive walking, bending, and the ability to perform consistent lifting. A strong understanding of safe lifting practices is required. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Utilize scanning equipment to ensure order accuracy and track inventory.
- Stage picked items for packing and verify against order details.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking area.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Work efficiently to meet picking quotas and deadlines.
- Collaborate with packing and shipping teams to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Participate in team efforts to optimize warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork abilities.
