We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, you will play a key role in our logistics chain by accurately fulfilling customer orders. Your duties will include locating items in the warehouse, picking them using scanning equipment, and preparing them for packing and shipping. This role demands speed, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety. We provide a dynamic work environment where efficiency and teamwork are paramount. You'll be expected to adhere to all company safety protocols and utilize the provided PPE to ensure a secure workplace. This position involves significant movement throughout the warehouse, including walking, bending, and reaching. The ability to perform safe lifting of items is essential. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a successful logistics operation, we want to hear from you. Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using a pick list or scanning device.
- Locate and retrieve items efficiently, ensuring correct quantities and product types.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Verify picked items against order details to maintain accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of proper lifting techniques and required PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics goals.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Comfortable with standing and walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills for effective logistics coordination.
