Our growing logistics company in Provo, Utah is looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage our outgoing shipments. This role is critical to ensuring that our products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying package contents, selecting appropriate shipping carriers, and coordinating with delivery services. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. You will be an integral part of our distribution center, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics network. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to follow established safety procedures and utilize provided PPE. The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is key. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Verify package contents against order details before dispatch.
- Select appropriate shipping methods and carriers based on cost, speed, and destination.
- Schedule pickups with shipping carriers and coordinate delivery times.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain shipping supplies inventory and reorder as needed.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
- Manage and organize shipping documentation and records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier websites.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
