We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Picker/Packer to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders, packing them securely for shipment, and preparing them for dispatch. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the efficient flow of goods through our logistics network. Attention to detail and a commitment to Safety are crucial for success. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using an RF scanner or pick list.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipment according to carrier requirements.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure order accuracy and product integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as required.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety shoes and gloves.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting and bending, with weights up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
