Join our vibrant logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! This dynamic role is central to our operations, ensuring that goods are accurately received, processed, and prepared for outgoing shipment. You will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the efficient flow of products through our facility. Safety is paramount, and we are dedicated to providing a secure work environment with comprehensive training and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). If you are organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, this position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth in the logistics industry. We are looking for reliable individuals who can handle physical tasks, including regular Lifting, and contribute positively to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify quantities and item details against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Stock incoming goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate picking and packing.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation.
- Load trucks for outgoing deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
