We are looking for a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse activities, ensuring the efficient flow of inventory, and supporting overall logistics operations. Your ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly will be key to success. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to optimize warehouse efficiency, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure timely order fulfillment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control principles, and a deep commitment to safety. We maintain a rigorous safety program, requiring all personnel to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Oversee the scheduling and flow of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Train and supervise warehouse associates, providing guidance and support.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations and the correct use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records within the WMS and other relevant systems.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure adherence to all lifting safety guidelines and promote safe material handling.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA standards and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to effectively manage lifting requirements and ensure safe material handling practices.
