Job Summary:
We are hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy facility in Seattle, Washington. This position is critical to our supply chain, ensuring that goods are efficiently received, documented, and dispatched. You will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials into and out of the warehouse. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent attention to detail, and has a strong understanding of logistics operations. You will work closely with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups, resolve discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy. Safety is paramount in this role; strict adherence to safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe lifting techniques is expected at all times. This role requires an individual who can manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere. Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills are essential. Your role is pivotal in supporting our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments.
  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate labeling and proper packaging.
  • Coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all shipping and receiving activities.
  • Manage warehouse inventory levels for shipping and receiving supplies.
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (if applicable).
  • Resolve any discrepancies or damages with shipments.
  • Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role preferred.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving lifting and physical exertion.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and shipping software is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
