We are looking for motivated Picker/Packers to join our operations in Madison, Wisconsin! This role is fundamental to our logistics success, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items in our warehouse, verifying order details, and packaging them securely. A commitment to efficiency, accuracy, and safety is essential. You will work collaboratively with other team members to maintain high standards of productivity and contribute to the overall smooth running of our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage.
- Package orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe and secure transport.
- Scan items and update inventory records.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of new inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking and packing.
- Adhere to all lifting guidelines and proper handling procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment role is desirable.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and with a team.
- Capability to lift items up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and wear provided PPE.
