As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, documenting, and coordinating the dispatch of all outgoing orders. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. You will work closely with the warehouse team, carriers, and other departments to streamline the shipping process. This position requires excellent organizational skills, proficiency with shipping software, and a strong commitment to accuracy and safety. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and label outgoing orders according to shipping manifests.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Verify order accuracy before shipment.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and scales.
- Track shipments and communicate any delays or issues to relevant parties.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software effectively.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and WMS.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 40 pounds.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
