We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our logistics team in Houston, Texas. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, updating inventory management systems, and assisting with stock rotation. This position requires physical capability for occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds and a strong understanding of warehouse safety practices, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory management software with accurate data.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory items.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper stocking.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
