Join our busy logistics hub in St. Louis, Missouri, as a skilled Forklift Operator. We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our distribution center, supporting our overall logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move goods.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and maintaining a safe work area.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence in all logistics tasks.
