Join our bustling warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri, as a Material Handler! We're looking for individuals with a strong sense of responsibility and a knack for efficient movement of goods. As a Material Handler, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring materials are moved, sorted, and stored correctly. You'll operate various equipment and perform manual tasks critical to keeping our warehouse running smoothly. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to safety. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and shipping containers.
- Transport materials to and from different areas of the warehouse using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other equipment.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts, stock checks, and maintaining accurate records.
- Operate equipment safely and perform routine checks, reporting any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to established protocols.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs is a core requirement of this role.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics setting is advantageous.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and potentially other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Physical strength and endurance to handle manual labor, including significant lifting and standing for prolonged periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Willingness and ability to wear required PPE consistently.
