We are seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our operations in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is crucial for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages meet shipping requirements. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickup and delivery.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect packages for damage before shipment.
- Maintain organized records of all shipped items.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipments.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Must be capable of lifting items up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of outbound logistics.
- Promote a culture of safety and awareness in the shipping department.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role. Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Good communication and problem-solving abilities. Must be able to handle tasks requiring moderate lifting and wear all necessary PPE.
