We are hiring a motivated Shipping Clerk for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania operations. In this role, you will manage the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments, ensuring that orders are processed according to specifications and delivered to carriers promptly. Your responsibilities will include preparing all necessary shipping documentation, coordinating with transport companies, and maintaining comprehensive records. This position is essential for our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills, and is dedicated to maintaining a Safe and productive workflow. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare shipping documents, including labels, bills of lading, and manifests.
- Coordinate shipment pickups and drop-offs with various shipping carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests and customer orders.
- Communicate shipment details and tracking information to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records in the system.
- Conduct quality checks on packages to ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Ensure correct usage of PPE in all relevant tasks.
- Assist with occasional moderate Lifting of packages, up to 40 pounds.
- Support the broader logistics team to ensure operational goals are met.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or administrative support is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and standard office applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to upholding workplace Safety standards and proper PPE usage.
- Capacity for light to moderate Lifting when required.
