We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk at our Los Angeles, California location. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely. Your responsibilities will include inspecting incoming freight, verifying quantities against purchase orders, documenting receipts, and preparing items for put-away. This role is essential to our inventory management and overall logistics flow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding high Safety standards. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy a structured work environment, this is the perfect fit. Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Generate receiving reports and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Tag and label incoming inventory as required.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team for efficient put-away of received goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with occasional Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Support the broader logistics team as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.
