We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our operations in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to receive, store, and move materials, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and safely. A strong emphasis on Safety, attention to detail, and physical capability is required. Your role is fundamental to our logistics network, supporting our commitment to timely and accurate order fulfillment. We maintain a rigorous Safety program.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport goods.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Stage materials for production or outbound shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, utilizing scanning equipment or system entries.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and Safety.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or forklift operator preferred.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Understanding of Safety procedures in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain flow.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
