Job Summary:
Join our team in Madison, Wisconsin, as a Material Handler and become an essential part of our distribution center. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to receive, store, and ship materials. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and have a strong work ethic. Your role is critical in supporting our overall logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace is expected. We prioritize Safety in all our operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and unstack products.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and store materials in designated locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Load and unload trucks, safely handling all materials.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all Safety guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations and Safety.
  • Wear mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues as needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory control methods.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding role.
  • Basic familiarity with logistics and supply chain concepts is beneficial.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE provided and/or required.
