We're seeking enthusiastic Order Pickers for our busy distribution center in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You'll be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret picking orders accurately.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations using scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items correctly for packing and shipping processes.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts if certified.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of picking areas and equipment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counting.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking speed and accuracy.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Willingness to learn and operate various warehouse tools and equipment.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE correctly.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
- Good time management and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
