Our Dallas, Texas facility is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to manage the movement of goods within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials between different areas of the warehouse, and transport inventory. Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment is a top priority. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain organized storage and support order fulfillment processes. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment are essential. This role requires precision, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions carefully to prevent accidents and damage to products and equipment. Compliance with all safety regulations and the consistent use of appropriate PPE are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and other items within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage materials in designated areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as organizing and cleaning.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks as required.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and risk prevention.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
