We are looking for an organized Inventory Clerk to join our logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be proficient in inventory management systems. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, performing cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies. Your contribution is vital to our operational efficiency and overall success. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring proper documentation.
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and quality.
- Organize and maintain stockroom or warehouse storage areas.
- Identify and report damaged or expired inventory.
- Assist with put-away and replenishment of stock.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear and correctly use all required PPE, including safety shoes and gloves.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient logistics.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
This role is based in a warehouse environment requiring physical activity. Employees must wear appropriate PPE, including safety footwear. The job involves regular inventory tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
