We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our efficient team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our logistics and distribution operations, demanding a keen eye for detail and the ability to work at a steady pace. You will contribute directly to customer satisfaction by ensuring orders are correct and prepared for timely shipment. This position offers a stable work environment and opportunities for skill development.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order lists or RF scanner prompts.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Stage completed orders for the shipping department.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety protocols.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding lifting and safe handling.
- Wear and use required PPE at all times to ensure personal safety.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to a supervisor.
- Meet established productivity goals while maintaining high accuracy standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order lists and labels.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of general warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
This position is located in a dynamic warehouse setting. You will be expected to wear standard PPE, including safety shoes. The role requires significant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and repetitive lifting. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all team members must actively participate in maintaining safety standards within our logistics operations.
