Join our fast-paced logistics operation as a Receiving Clerk in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This critical role ensures that all incoming inventory is accurately documented, inspected, and put away promptly. You will be the first point of contact for many of our inbound shipments, playing a key part in maintaining inventory integrity. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational prowess, and a strong commitment to safety standards. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Your contribution will directly impact the accuracy and efficiency of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming inventory with appropriate identification.
- Route received goods to the correct warehouse locations or departments.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as necessary (certification may be required).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using computers and data entry.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of proper handling and storage procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE is mandatory.
