Join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana, as an Inventory Control Specialist. This vital role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is fundamental to efficient Logistics operations. You will be responsible for implementing inventory control measures, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing stock levels and preventing losses.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory adjustments and returns processing.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to improve inventory accuracy.
- Uphold strict adherence to all company Safety guidelines and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE .
- Operate material handling equipment safely as required, following all Safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role is required. Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs. Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Understanding of warehouse Logistics and supply chain principles. Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE . Experience with RF scanners is highly desirable. Must be reliable and detail-oriented.
