We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy Tampa, Florida logistics center! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items to fulfill customer orders, ensuring timely dispatch and customer satisfaction. Your attention to detail and speed are key to the success of our warehouse operations. You will work with advanced scanning technology and follow precise procedures to maintain inventory integrity and order accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Select items from warehouse storage locations based on order requirements using RF scanners.
- Confirm the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Transport picked goods to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and overall warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and warehouse operational procedures.
- Safely operate material handling equipment as required.
- Identify and report any stock discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Consistently use required PPE for all tasks.
- Assist with other warehouse duties, contributing to the smooth flow of logistics.
- Achieve established picking performance metrics for speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is beneficial.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the proper use of PPE.
- Experience with RF scanning devices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment: This role is situated in a fast-paced warehouse environment requiring physical exertion. Employees must strictly adhere to safety protocols and use provided PPE at all times. The temperature can vary within the warehouse.
