We are seeking an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of inventory within our high-volume warehouse. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to move, stack, and retrieve products at various heights, ensuring accuracy and safety. The ideal candidate will have a valid certification or proven experience operating reach trucks and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will work closely with the inventory control team to manage stock levels and ensure timely order fulfillment. Safety is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all Safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) are mandatory. This position requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required when assisting with non-equipment related tasks. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Navigate narrow aisles and operate equipment at high elevations.
- Place and remove pallets from racking systems.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on reach trucks.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE during operation and within the warehouse.
- Support the overall Logistics operations and inventory management.
- Perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck; certification preferred.
- Excellent understanding of reach truck operation and warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
- Familiarity with Logistics procedures is a plus.
- Physical capability for occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
