We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications. This position requires physical stamina, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to safety. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be an essential part of our supply chain. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive workplace, and we expect all team members to follow established protocols and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse inventory locations according to pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for the packing process.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy through proper picking and stock rotation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies encountered during picking to supervisors.
- Meet or exceed established picking productivity targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and using PPE.
