Join our fast-paced distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Picker/Packer! You will play a vital role in ensuring customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. This position involves retrieving items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they are packaged correctly. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning equipment.
- Inspect picked items for damage and quality.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for outbound logistics.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Comfortable working with scanning technology.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout your shift.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and willingness to follow them.
- Team-oriented and a positive attitude.
- Dependable and able to meet performance targets.
