We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is essential for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and Safety. You will oversee warehouse staff, manage inventory levels, coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, and implement best practices in Logistics and material handling. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and productive work environment. This position is key to our supply chain's effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the work of warehouse associates.
- Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counting and reconciliation.
- Coordinate the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Ensure efficient and timely processing of all outgoing shipments.
- Implement and enforce warehouse Safety policies and procedures.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Train staff on operational procedures, Safety, and the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Liaise with transportation providers and other departments to ensure smooth Logistics operations.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Handle inquiries and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Coordinator or supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to ensuring the correct and consistent use of required PPE.
