Are you a mechanically inclined individual with a knack for maintenance? We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Technician for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and upkeep of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and conducting repairs on various pieces of warehouse machinery and systems. A strong understanding of Safety protocols and Logistics equipment is essential. This position ensures our operational capabilities remain high.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular Safety inspections of all equipment and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company Safety regulations.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Assist with installations and modifications of warehouse equipment.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
- Ensure all work is performed with a focus on Safety, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize Logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with automated warehouse systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures and regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and their role in Logistics.
- Must be able to perform tasks that may require Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using required PPE and safety equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
