Our Des Moines, Iowa facility is looking for dependable Warehouse Workers to join our logistics team. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, involving the efficient handling of goods from receipt to shipment. Key duties include unloading incoming inventory, stocking shelves, picking and packing customer orders with precision, and preparing items for dispatch. We are dedicated to ensuring a safe working environment for all, and strict adherence to Safety standards and the mandatory use of PPE is expected. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. No prior warehouse experience is necessary, as we provide thorough training to help you succeed in our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against shipping documents.
- Sort and stock merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick items from shelves based on order tickets or system instructions.
- Pack orders carefully to prevent damage during shipping and handling.
- Stage completed orders for pickup by delivery carriers.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and participate in Safety training.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE correctly.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth execution of logistics tasks.
- Physical ability to handle tasks that involve regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for the duration of the shift.
- Commitment to following all Safety rules and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse environments and logistics is a plus.
