We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to support our operations and ensure the optimal functioning of our warehouse equipment and facilities. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery operates within safety standards. A strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and safety protocols is crucial. You will play a key role in preventing downtime and ensuring the smooth flow of our logistics operations. Commitment to safety, including proper use of PPE, is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, palletizers, forklifts).
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety regulations and operational standards.
- Conduct safety inspections of the warehouse facility and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Operate various warehouse machinery as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Assist in the implementation of new equipment and technology.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations, including PPE requirements.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Understanding of logistics operations is beneficial.
