We are seeking a diligent and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth flow of goods into our facility, contributing directly to the accuracy and efficiency of our supply chain. You will be responsible for the initial handling of all incoming shipments, from unloading trucks to verifying contents against documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly receiving dock. Key responsibilities include inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancies, accurately entering received goods into our inventory system, and preparing items for internal distribution or storage. This position involves considerable physical activity, including frequent lifting and maneuvering of packages and pallets. Safety is our highest priority; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves is required. You will work collaboratively with various warehouse departments, including inventory control and material handlers, to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for any damage, defects, or shortages.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or direct distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Assist with inventory verification and reconciliation.
- Support the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics operations.
