We are looking for a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage operations at our Madison, Wisconsin facility. This key role will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all logistics processes. You will be responsible for coordinating staff, managing inventory, and optimizing workflow to meet operational targets. A proven track record in warehouse management and a strong understanding of logistics principles are required. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe working environment and will provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising warehouse staff, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
- Managing inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Coordinating the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
- Optimizing warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, and ensuring proper maintenance schedules are followed.
- Communicating effectively with management, suppliers, and carriers regarding logistics operations.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory, shipments, and operational costs.
- Training new employees on warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and operational standards.
- This role requires the ability to perform occasional heavy Lifting, up to 50 pounds, when assisting with operational needs or overseeing material handling.
