Our growing logistics operation in Columbus, Ohio is looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate. This role is multifaceted, involving various tasks within the warehouse to ensure efficient and accurate processing of goods. You will be involved in receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence is paramount. The ideal candidate is a team player, capable of working independently and as part of a larger team to meet daily targets. Your role will be critical in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our supply chain. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality of goods.
- Stocking inventory accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Picking and packing orders with speed and precision.
- Preparing orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Operating warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification may be required).
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Participating in inventory counts and audits.
- Adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must wear mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- A proactive approach to safety and a commitment to a secure work environment.
- Understanding of general logistics principles.
