We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk for our San Francisco, California facility. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, and documented. Your responsibilities include checking packing slips against orders, identifying damaged or incorrect items, and properly stocking received materials. Accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures are paramount. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting our overall logistics operations. A commitment to a safe working environment is essential, including the proper use of PPE . There will be a requirement for Lifting of materials. Following all Safety guidelines is a must. This is a key role within our Logistics department.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify packing slips and purchase orders against delivered goods.
- Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory system.
- Tag and stage received goods for further processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE use.
- Perform required Lifting of goods up to 50 lbs.
- Support the efficient operations of our Logistics team.
- Ensure the receiving dock operates smoothly and safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse receiving role.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform Lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE .
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
