Join our team as an Order Picker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are processed correctly and meet our high standards for speed and accuracy. You will work closely with inventory management and shipping departments to maintain optimal workflow. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick orders accurately.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory levels or product availability.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially order pickers.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in cycle counting and inventory verification activities.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control and logistics systems is a plus.
