Join our logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts, as a dedicated Material Handler! This position is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment or use. The ideal candidate is physically capable, attentive to detail, and committed to upholding a safe and productive work environment. Key duties include unloading trucks, transporting inventory using appropriate equipment, stocking shelves, and ensuring materials are ready for their next stage in the supply chain. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are expected to strictly follow safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations according to established procedures.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments, production, or internal transfers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, orderly, and safe at all times.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment responsibly and efficiently.
- Assist with loading trucks and managing dock activities.
- Adhere to all logistics and operational policies.
- Conduct routine safety checks of equipment and the work environment.
- Ensure safe lifting techniques are consistently applied.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including frequent lifting and moving of materials.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of fundamental logistics operations.
- Punctual and reliable work history.
