We are looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our thriving logistics operations in Sacramento, California. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders and then carefully packaging them for shipment. You will work with order management systems and RF scanners to ensure accuracy. We stress the importance of following all safety guidelines and utilizing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to packages.
- Prepare orders for shipment, staging them in the correct areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the picking and packing areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks within your assigned areas.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Contribute to team goals and assist colleagues as necessary.
- Ensure safe lifting practices are followed when handling items.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product information.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and logistics processes.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
