We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this vital role, you will manage the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and products. You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all safety regulations. This position requires physical stamina and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide training on best practices for handling materials and operating machinery. The Material Handler plays a key role in our supply chain, ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory management. - Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Moving materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks using forklifts and other equipment.
- Verifying the quantity and quality of materials received against shipping documents.
- Storing materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Picking materials for production or shipment based on orders and schedules.
- Packing materials securely for internal transfers or external shipments.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance of material handling equipment.
- Adhering to all Safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to prevent hazards and improve efficiency.
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
This role demands proficiency in heavy Lifting and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Experience with various types of warehouse equipment is a plus.
