We are seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate for our facility in Orlando, Florida. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the inflow and outflow of goods within our distribution center. Your duties will include unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking received items, and preparing outgoing shipments for delivery. Accuracy, organization, and efficiency are paramount to the success of our logistics operations. You will work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure all shipments are handled correctly and on time. This position demands attention to detail, physical capability for Lifting, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be required to wear appropriate PPE at all times while on the dock and in the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks, verify packing slips, and inspect incoming goods for damage.
- Receive, document, and enter inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stock received merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Ensure the dock and warehouse areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to handle moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency with computers and warehouse management software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Commitment to safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
