Our Virginia Beach, Virginia logistics center is looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse stock. In this critical role, you will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies. Your work ensures that our operations run smoothly and that we have the right products available when needed. This position demands a high level of accuracy, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be instrumental in optimizing our inventory management, which is a cornerstone of efficient logistics. We are committed to workplace safety and require adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching records and conducting audits.
- Update inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System) accurately and promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or overstock situations.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes to ensure correct inventory placement.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of inventory storage areas.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role within a logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in WMS and other relevant software; strong data entry skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds).
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
