Border Protection Specialist

As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

Typical assignments include:

• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions using infrared scopes during night operations.


• Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.

1. A one-year experience in general work demonstrating ability to take charge, make sound decisions, maintain composure in stressful situations; learn regulations methods techniques through classroom training on-the-job instruction gather concise information questioning observation examination documents records OR


2. A bachelor's degree successful completion full four-year course study any field leading bachelor's degree accredited college university OR
