Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Carrier is excited to offer an opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic Applied sales team in the North East . Your mission? To develop new business and drive sales growth in the HVAC sector!

Your Role as a Sales Engineer

In this pivotal position, you will:

  • Develop Specification Sales: Focus on the Carrier range of HVAC equipment, including Chillers and Heat Pumps, across North East England.
  • Identify New Opportunities: Grow sales of finished goods and related services by tapping into new business avenues.
  • Implement Strategic Growth: Collaborate with M&E contractors, distributors, consultants, and end-user clients to expand Carrier's market presence.
  • Maintain Customer Relationships: Ensure regular contact with customers, which will involve travel.
  • Handle Reporting & Administration: Keep track of your progress and manage your responsibilities efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work alongside existing direct sales teams to enhance market share in your region.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the HVAC industry, particularly in hydronic chilled water and heating applications.
  • Sales Experience: A strong background in HVAC sales, working with installing contractors, M&E’s, and specification consultants.
  • Time Management Skills: The ability to manage your own schedule, set targets, and monitor your progress.
  • Presentation Skills: Confidence in conducting meetings and presenting ideas effectively.
  • Competitor Awareness: Knowledge of the competitive landscape in the HVAC market.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Driving License: A valid UK driving license is essential.
  • IT Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office and other relevant software.
