As an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer, you’ll dive deep into the world of HVAC systems, preparing to become a fully qualified Service Technician. This role offers:

• Regular training at South Eastern Regional College (SERC) - Lisburn Campus for Level 3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Hands-on work with water chillers and commercial/industrial heat pumps.
• Opportunities to shadow qualified technicians during customer site visits.
• Learning about refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Working on fans and air handling equipment.
• Installing complete HVAC solutions, including temporary hoses and cables.
• Assisting in troubleshooting technical challenges, both in-person and remotely.
• Gaining experience with electrical power supplies and control panels.
• Working on pumps, water hydraulics, and hydronics.
• Understanding digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, Maths, and ICT or Engineering.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A keen learner who is eager to ask questions and get involved.
• Good written English skills.
• An interest in engineering, heating systems, and low-carbon technologies like heat pumps.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, confidence, and excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
