Your Role as a Sales Engineer

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Develop Specification Sales: Focus on the Carrier range of HVAC equipment, including Chillers and Heat Pumps, across North East England.
  • Identify New Opportunities: Seek out and cultivate new business prospects while boosting sales of our finished goods and related services.
  • Implement Strategic Growth: Collaborate with M&E contractors, distributors, consultants, and end-user clients to expand Carrier's market presence.
  • Maintain Customer Relationships: Ensure regular contact with customers, which will involve travel.
  • Handle Reporting & Administration: Keep track of your progress and manage your responsibilities efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work alongside our existing direct sales teams to enhance market share in your designated region.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the HVAC industry, particularly hydronic chilled water and heating applications.
  • Sales Experience: A strong background in HVAC sales, especially with installing contractors, M&E’s, and specification consultants.
  • Time Management Skills: The ability to manage your own schedule, set targets, and track your progress.
  • Presentation Skills: Confidence in conducting meetings and presenting ideas effectively.
  • Competitor Awareness: Knowledge of the competitive landscape.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • UK Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is essential.
  • IT Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office and other relevant software.
