This role is field-based, covering Bracknell and surrounding areas, making it an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment!

As an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer, you’ll dive deep into the world of HVAC systems, gaining the skills necessary to become a fully qualified Service Technician. Here’s a glimpse of your responsibilities:

• Regular attendance at the College of NW London for a Level 3 Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heat Pumps qualification.
• Hands-on work with water chillers and commercial/industrial heat pumps.
• Participating in customer site visits, shadowing qualified Technicians.
• Learning about refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Working on fans and air handling equipment.
• Installing complete HVAC solutions, including temporary hoses, cables, and ancillaries.
• Assisting in troubleshooting and supporting technically challenging breakdowns, both in-person and remotely.
• Gaining experience with electrical power supplies and control panels.
• Working with pumps and water hydraulics/hydronics.
• Exploring digital control systems and basic Building Management Systems (BMS).

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and grow. Here’s what you need to bring to the table:

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, Maths, and ICT or Engineering.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A genuine interest in engineering, heating systems, and low-carbon technologies like heat pumps.
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in communication.
• Good written English skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
