Lead Controls Engineer (London)

Location: UK home-based, ideally in the London area.

As a Lead Controls Engineer, you will tackle complex challenges and guide junior engineers in their professional development. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Design and program advanced building automation systems, including site-specific configurations and control algorithms.
• Ensure adherence to project requirements and maintain high standards of design, programming, and implementation.
• Create comprehensive design documents that provide technical insights for project teams.
• Document and communicate design changes for building automation systems effectively.
• Develop user-friendly graphical and text-based interfaces for our systems.
• Conduct thorough testing of programming and interfaces before implementation.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or a related field.
• Proficiency with building automation system software and engineering tools, preferably Automated Logic suites.
• A strong understanding of complex Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.
• Familiarity with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
• The ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• A valid UK driving license and a willingness to travel across the UK.
