The purpose of this role is to convert group enquiries for Maybourne. This is an important role as it generates key revenue for Maybourne in both accommodation and events. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Qualify leads from varying sources to ascertain business potential for groups and events at all Maybourne properties. Provide timely group proposals based upon qualification information and venue suitability. Negotiate with the client to ensure we are competitive with the competitive set and convert group business. Work with the Sales Team to identify potential sources of groups and events business by analysing evidence of buyer activity in competitor hotels, trade directories and following up referred sales leads as required. Ensure information is entered in to Salesforce correctly and within company entry standards. Arrange site inspections for the Account Managers and attend in person when required. Issue contracts upon successful negotiation, this includes calculating deposits and understanding cancellation policies. Pro-actively follow up on all tentative bookings, keeping the Director of Groups, Sales and Sales/Account Manager informed as to the progress of all bookings. Provide accurate and detailed handover documents to the relevant on property teams upon deposit and signature of the contract. Conduct post event telephone follow-up to clients, ascertaining satisfaction and any potential repeat groups or events. Deal effectively with any issues that may arise. Who thrives here?
